A vitamin C form that helps even out tone and neutralise daily oxidative stress.
The signature multi-antioxidant blend that is the point of the Alto line.
No close retail equivalent: we credit at most 40% of these points.
A long tail of botanical antioxidants that adds to the main antioxidants and calms redness.

73 / 100. We have not found a shelf product that closes more of the gap yet.
80 is our ceiling. No budget retail serum lists ergothioneine plus SOD plus CoQ10 together; vitamin E, ferulic acid or a single antioxidant gives only partial credit. Retail serums carry one or two of these extracts, rarely the whole set.
One bottle instead of a build. Sorted by match score; scores use the same standouts as above.

Why it is close. Alto Defense is essentially an antioxidant serum built on ceramides, and CeraVe's vitamin C serum uses the same ceramide trio plus cholesterol and phytosphingosine. It adds a proven vitamin C dose. It does not have the long tail of botanical antioxidants.
Timeless Skin Care
Why it is close. The vitamin C + E + ferulic combination is the best-studied topical antioxidant system. It is stronger and more acidic than Alto, so it fits resilient skin more than reactive skin.
Paula's Choice
Why it is close. Same core antioxidant trio in a mixable booster. Pricier than the other dupes with no extra antioxidant range.
Vitamin C + E + ferulic acid provides photoprotection to human skin in vivo (erythema, thymine dimers, p53).
